Crypt of 1025 soldiers from the World War I. below the Orthodox church
This unique monument is the only one of its kind in Slovakia. The open grave of dimensions 4x1.5x7- 11m contains the remains of Russian soldiers and Austria- Hungarian army who fought here in years 1914-15. They were transferred to the crypt from the surrounding forests and cemeteries in years 1933- 34. It was refurbished and consecrated in 2005. It is open nonstop and visitors can use the information interactive board in 5 languages.
